PCN DES Dashboard

The PCN DES Dashboard helps users review published PCN DES indicator achievement and variation across member practices.

When To Use It

Use it when you need to:

  • understand PCN-level achievement;
  • compare member practice contribution;
  • identify indicators that need operational review;
  • prepare for PCN performance, finance, or delivery meetings.

What It Shows

  • indicator achievement by PCN and practice;
  • numerator and denominator values where published;
  • percentage achievement;
  • ruleset or indicator groupings;
  • additional measures such as declined or exception-style counts where present;
  • benchmark context where available.

How To Use It

  1. Select the PCN or practice.
  2. Choose the relevant reporting period or ruleset where available.
  3. Review indicator groups before focusing on individual indicators.
  4. Compare member practices.
  5. Check whether variation is caused by numerator, denominator, or extra measures.

Common Interpretation Points

  • A low percentage may be caused by a small numerator, a large denominator, or a coding/reporting issue.
  • PCN-level values can hide variation between practices.
  • Indicator definitions and payment rules can change between years.
  • Some indicators should be interpreted alongside local delivery models.

Before Using In Formal Decisions

Confirm the current PCN DES specification, local commissioner guidance, and any formal reporting rules before using dashboard outputs for contractual decisions.
