GP Patient Survey

Use the GP Patient Survey dashboard to explore patient experience and access indicators for a practice or PCN, benchmarked against local and national peers.

GP Patient Survey Dashboard

What It Shows

  • overall experience of the practice;
  • access by phone, website, and NHS App, and contact with reception;
  • appointment wait and choice of appointment;
  • consultation quality indicators, including being listened to and involved in decisions;
  • continuity and preferred-professional measures;
  • PCN, ICS, England, and list-size peer comparisons;
  • a State of the Nation view with England-wide trends and distributions.

How To Use It

  1. Select a practice or PCN.
  2. Choose the survey year.
  3. Review the headline indicators first.
  4. Compare access indicators with appointment and telephony data.
  5. Use confidence and response context when discussing changes.

Interpretation Notes

Survey figures are estimates derived from respondents, not activity counts, and carry a margin of error that is larger for practices with fewer responses. Year-on-year changes may reflect survey method, response mix, or genuine changes in patient experience, so read movements alongside response numbers and local context.
