NHS App Dashboard¶
Use the NHS App dashboard to understand how widely the NHS App is taken up and used by eligible patients at a practice, PCN, or wider geography.
NHS App Dashboard¶
What It Shows¶
- registered patients aged 13 and over, the eligible NHS App base;
- total and unique logins;
- active uptake, expressed as unique logins against the eligible base;
- in-app self-service activity: appointment booking and cancellation, repeat prescriptions, and record views;
- organ donation registrations, updates, and lookups;
- practice, PCN, sub-ICB, ICB, and regional context;
- a State of the Nation view with England-wide trends and distributions.
How To Use It¶
- Select a practice, PCN, or geography.
- Choose the reporting month.
- Review active uptake against the eligible 13+ base.
- Compare in-app self-service activity with online consultations and appointments.
- Use trends to track adoption over time.
Interpretation Notes¶
The "patients registered" figure is the eligible 13+ base, not a count of app sign-ups. The dashboard therefore measures active uptake and use rather than downloads. Uptake reflects local promotion, patient demographics, and digital access as well as practice activity, so compare against suitable peers before drawing conclusions.
